Luis Macho, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM)

Internal Medicine Specialist

Dr. Macho graduated from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. He then completed a rotating internship in Coral Springs FL, after which he returned to Cornell University for a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine. He became board certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) after completing his residency in 2019.  Dr. Macho spent a year on the West Coast, practicing internal medicine before returning to his home state of Florida.

Dr. Macho’s special interests include: liver disease, renal disease and hematology (blood disorders). He lives with his wife Laura (a long-time veterinary nurse), his giant dog Lenny and his cat Jack (who runs the house). Dr. Macho and his wife are avid birders, and love spending time outdoors when the heat allows it.
