June Mason, DVM

Emergency Doctor

From the farm near Earle, Arkansas where Dr. June Crook Mason hails, she wished from an early age to be a veterinarian. On a circuitous route to becoming a vet, she became an RN and worked in ICU, the ER and flew air rescue. After several years she returned to school, the University of Missouri Veterinary School then for an internship in emergency and critical care at the Veterinary Institute of Trauma, Emergency and Critical care. Since then, she’s been practicing emergency and critical care for 25 years.

Dr. Mason believes her roots in nursing, being able to talk to people with the same or similar conditions, has made her more empathetic. One of her favorite parts of practicing is being able to care not only for the patients but also for the people who love them. She genuinely believes Advanced Veterinary Care Center is a gem of a practice with a talented team working together to provide state of the art care.

Dr. Mason’s personal interests include fishing, cooking, landscaping and gardening. She currently resides in the Bahamas with her family, Birdie, her Golden Retriever, Tingum the cat, Homie, a saucy rooster, and his brood of girls.
