AVCC is Excited to Announce the Expansion of our Surgical Department!

Advanced Veterinary Care Center is thrilled to welcome Barry Brower, DVM, DACVS-SA to our surgical team. Dr. Brower joins AVCC’s Director of Surgery, Dr. Shiara Arulpragasm in offering a complete array of specialized surgical services.

“Dr. Brower brings a breadth of surgical experience to our community,” says AVCC Co-Medical Director Dr. Jeff Toll. “In addition to proficiency in all common orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries, Dr. Brower is an expert on patellar luxation.” Dr. Brower is also passionate about client education, teaching, and developing close working relationships with our referring veterinarians.

Dr. Brower’s education includes:
-DVM from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2011.
-Internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Veterinary Medical and Surgical Group in Ventura, CA.
-Surgical internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, TX.
-Surgery residency at the Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island completed in 2016.

Dr. Brower’s professional interests include orthopedic reconstructive and corrective procedures (such as TPLO, TTA, and fracture repair), as well as oncologic and soft tissue reconstructive surgery.
