Preparing for Your Visit

AVCC is open for appointments with our specialists from 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, with some availability on the weekends. Appointments are generally made by referral from your primary care veterinarian, who will provide AVCC with all medical records and information important to the care of your pet. We believe that the best patient care, both before and after an appointment at AVCC, is accomplished through teamwork and excellent communication with your primary care veterinarian.

Once you’ve scheduled an appointment, you can print and complete a patient information form to bring with you. You may also email or fax the form prior to your arrival or you can bring it with you. Remember to bring all pertinent materials, including medical records, medications, dietary information, insurance documents, and anything else you believe is important.

When your pet has an urgent problem and the required specialist is busy serving other patients, another specialist or a qualified emergency doctor may evaluate and admit your pet to the hospital so that care may begin until the required specialist is available.
